Whole Bean/ Ground:

Torched Blend is a bold, full-bodied coffee crafted for drinkers who prefer rich, smoky flavors and a lingering, chocolate-forward finish. Roasted darker than our signature blends, it highlights deep caramelization and a pronounced bittersweet profile while preserving enough acidity to keep the cup lively.

Origin and roast

  • Bean selection: A mix of Latin American and Indonesian beans chosen for body, chocolate notes, and low acidity.

  • Roast level: Dark — toward the city+ to full dark spectrum. The roast brings out oil-sheen on the beans and develops toasty, smoky aromatics without going into burned or ashy territory when brewed properly.

Flavor profile

  • Aroma: Toasted bread, dark cocoa, a hint of smoke.

  • On the palate: Deep dark chocolate and cocoa, toasted nuts, mild molasses sweetness, subtle smoky/char notes.

  • Acidity: Low to moderate — present enough to balance but not bright or citrusy.

  • Body: Full, syrupy mouthfeel with a lingering finish.

Brewing recommendations

  • Espresso: Excellent for espresso — yields rich crema, bitter-sweet chocolate notes, and heavy body; works well as a base for milk drinks (lattes, cappuccinos).

  • Drip / Pour-over: Use slightly coarser grind than for light roasts; keep water temperature around 195–205°F. Expect a concentrated, full cup; shortening brew time slightly can prevent over-extraction of bitter compounds.

  • French press: A great method for showcasing body and oils; use a coarse grind and steep 4–5 minutes.

  • Cold brew: Produces smooth, low-acidity cold coffee with pronounced chocolate and caramel notes.

Torched Blend is made for coffee drinkers who appreciate a darker roast with robust body, chocolate and smoky character, and a versatile base for espresso and milk drinks. If you prefer bright, floral, or fruity coffees, this blend may feel too heavy; if you like bold, comforting coffee, it’s a strong choice.

Storage and freshness Store in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture. For best flavor, use within 2–4 weeks of roast; grind just before brewing.

Tasting tip Try a straight espresso shot first to experience pure flavor, then taste the same shot with a small splash of warm milk to note how the profile softens and sweetens.

Store in a cool, dark place in an airtight container. Use within 2–4 weeks of roast for peak flavor.
